Humotion is aiming to become the leading provider of human motion monitoring and bio-feedback systems in mobile situations. We aim to bring the capabilities of today’s motion laboratories into the activities of daily living; capturing relevant data in normal living situations including beside others fitness, sport and medical condition monitoring. We achieve this by developing the complete vertical technology chain from individual sensors worn on the body, over the required low power wireless connections, network technology and back-end servers. All components together create a monitoring network which can be applied flexibly in small at-home installations or in large institutional installations for sports centers, hospitals or industrial applications. Data-analysis based on strong bio-mechanical and mathematical know-how is conducted, depending on the service provided either directly on board of the sensors or on the back-end servers. The well known effect of monitoring technology influencing the behavior of the wearer is minimized by full textile integration of all on-body components; this guarantees minimum impact and comfortable use.

Humotion was founded in 2008 as a joint venture between Xybermind (www.xybermind.com) and Delaro (www.delaro.net). Building on the motion sensor and bio-mechanical know-how of Xybermind and the platform and network experience of Delaro the company was able in the past 2 years to build a large part of the required technology.

Humotion is actively involved in a number of research and development projects both with industrial partners and universities. Some of those projects are federally funded (e.g. www.smart-senior.de). Individual components of the Humotion systems are already in test situations, both in clinics for medical applications as well as in sports applications.
